When should I remove my wrap?

When should I remove my wrap?

It is best to remove a wrap before it dramatically starts to break down.

If you notice it start to fade, dark spots appear or the wrap starts to go matte in sections, then it must be removed as quickly as possible.  The longer you leave it to break down; the harder it will be to remove it.

A wrap will protect your paintwork if you look after the wrap and remove it within the recommended time.

The longevity of a wrap really depends on a number of factors such as sun exposure, climate, frequency of washing, and general ‘wear and tear’.

Wraps do not last as long on vehicles that are out on the road every day and in the sun a lot. With heavy wear and tear like this, the life expectancy may be as short as 2 years. However, even something as simple as parking in the shade could increase the life expectancy of your vehicle wrap dramatically.

You must keep in mind that vinyl doesn’t have the same properties as paint, it is a temporary skin that needs to be cared for.  So, although wraps are designed to be UV stable; they will eventually break down.
