Bathurst 12 Hour 2026

Long-Term Partnership

For the third consecutive year, Drive Creative partnered with BMW Australia to deliver the branding for the official vehicle fleet at the 2026 Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour. Held at the iconic Mount Panorama circuit, the event attracts many of the world’s leading GT teams and drivers and has become one of the most prestigious endurance races on the international motorsport calendar. With extensive television, digital and trackside exposure, the Bathurst 12 Hour remains one of the most visible projects we deliver each year.

Creative Direction

A key aspect of the relationship is the trust BMW Australia places in our team. Rather than providing finished concepts, BMW engages Drive Creative to develop the visual direction from the ground up. For the 2026 event, the BMW M Safety Cars celebrated the 40th anniversary of the BMW M3, with the design drawing inspiration from the heritage colours of the original E30 M3. The result was a contemporary interpretation that balanced modern performance with BMW’s rich motorsport heritage.

Fleet-Wide Branding

The project encompassed a diverse fleet supporting the event, including BMW M Safety Cars, medical vehicles, race control vehicles, mountain transfer cars and support vehicles. Although each vehicle served a unique purpose throughout race weekend, the challenge was to create a cohesive visual identity that connected the entire fleet while maintaining the premium standards expected of BMW Motorsport. From highly visible safety vehicles to behind-the-scenes support cars, consistency across every touchpoint was essential.

Designed & Produced In House

From initial concepts and design development through to print production and installation, every stage of the project was managed in-house by Drive Creative. Working to tight deadlines and event schedules, our team coordinated the branding across multiple vehicles while maintaining the high level of finish expected from one of Australia’s premier motorsport events. Managing the complete process internally ensured colour consistency, quality control and the flexibility required to deliver a project of this scale.

A National Showcase

Seen by hundreds of thousands of motorsport fans across race broadcasts, social media and trackside activations, the Bathurst 12 Hour provides a unique platform for showcasing the BMW brand. Our ongoing partnership with BMW Australia reflects the trust that has been built over multiple campaigns and our ability to consistently deliver at the highest level of Australian motorsport. More than simply applying graphics, Drive Creative is proud to contribute to the visual identity of one of the country’s most significant motorsport events.

I think this version reads more like a premium magazine article or a BMW press release rather than a traditional sign shop case study, which suits the calibre of the project.
