Bespoke Marine Design

Designing and Producing a Bespoke OEM-Inspired Livery

At first glance, this project may not appear as extensive as a full wrap. However, in reality, it was one of the more time-intensive custom projects we have undertaken.

The goal was to create a completely bespoke graphics package that looked as though it could have come directly from the factory while still maintaining a unique and aggressive appearance.

The base jet ski features a stunning dark gunmetal metallic finish, which became the foundation for the entire design.

Rather than covering the original colour, we chose to enhance it.

Creating a Custom Template from Scratch

Unlike a standard vehicle wrap, projects like this require significant development.

Every panel of the jet ski was individually measured and templated to create a precise digital pattern.

The white sections shown during the development stage were used to physically test fit each template before moving into final production.

This process requires substantial removal and refit work, along with multiple rounds of testing to ensure every line flows correctly over the complex curves and body transitions of the watercraft.

Showcasing What Is Possible

While bespoke marine graphics packages are not our primary target market and we only undertake a handful of these projects each year, they provide an opportunity to showcase the depth of skill and creativity within the Drive Creative team.

Projects like this demonstrate that our capabilities extend far beyond traditional vehicle wraps.

Whether it’s a commercial fleet, motorsport livery, luxury vehicle or highly customised marine project, we pride ourselves on producing graphics that are thoughtful, unique and meticulously executed.

Combining Print and Chrome Finishes

The final graphics package combines several different materials and finishes.

The design incorporates:

  • Custom printed graphics

  • Premium chrome red accents

  • OEM-inspired pinstriping and detailing

  • Layered graphics to create depth and movement

Small Project, Big Complexity

Although this project utilised considerably less material than a full vehicle wrap, the design and development time was substantially greater.

Projects like these require:

  • Custom templating

  • Extensive design development

  • Multiple fitment tests

  • Precise installation and alignment

It is this level of detail that makes projects like this so rewarding.
